A North Carolina woman is trying to dispute $2,000 of charges made to her credit card after it was posted online. Rhonda Deaver told WCTI that she left her credit card behind after paying for her food at Smith's Cafe in Kinston.

She is a regular customer at the restaurant and goes at least once a week.

After paying her bill last Tuesday, Deaver left but forgot to take her credit card with her.

An employee found the credit card and decided to use Facebook to find Deaver. The employee took photos of the front and back of her credit card and posted them on a Kinston Facebook group. The employee did not block out the numbers.

Within minutes, multiple charges were posted to her credit card.

"I couldn't believe it they did that, but I was sick thinking I might be responsible for all those charges," Deaver told the news station.

While the bank closed her account, she is still in the process of disputing the fraudulent charges and hopes the bank will reverse them all.

"I'm on a fixed income. There's not like there's extra money every month to cover those bills someone else charged on my card," she said.
