Auburn vs. Tennessee | Recap

Auburn 24 Tennessee 30

Auburn became Tennessee's first win in 12 SEC games on Saturday as the Tigers lost for a second time this season in Jordan-Hare. The Tigers are in full meltdown mode after starting the season at #10 with Conference and National championship aspirations. While Tennessee was singing 'Rocky Top', Auburn was hitting rock bottom.

Jarret Stidham completed 28 of his 45 passes for 322 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also accounted for 3 turnovers that lead to 14 Tennessee points. Wide receiver Anthony Schwartz was the leading rusher with 3 carries for 44 yards. Jatarvious Whitlow finished with 42 yards on 12 carries but left the game after sustaining an injury trying to recover a Jarrett Stidham fumble that was returned for a touchdown. Receivers Seth Williams and Anthony Schwartz both finished the day around 85 yards with 1 touchdown.

Auburn hits the road to Oxford to play Ole Miss this Saturday at 11am on ESPN. If Auburn loses, becoming bowl eligible will be nearly impossible with how the team has been playing. Remaining games against Ole Miss and Liberty should be 2 wins that get Auburn to 6 on the season. We'll see how things go though.
